The Worship Ministry Team plans and prepares the worship experience for our community to bring comfort, inspiration and spiritual nourishment.

The Worship Team encourages congregants to sign up:

  • as Worship Assistants

  • to bring flowers to the sanctuary on Sunday mornings

  • to usher for Sunday services

  • to support the recording and posting of Sunday services

We create an inclusive framework and language for services, including a script for worship assistants.  We collect data about what is meaningful for the community and incorporate that into the worship experience. We find speakers to fill the 5th Sundays, whether professional or lay-led.

The Worship Committee oversees Summer Services (July & August), encouraging congregants to share their words at these lay-led services. We facilitate remote services when closing the church as a result of weather or necessity. We help plan for special services like our water and flower communion as well as special services like holidays of many flavors. We coordinate with RE to develop meaningful intergenerational worship experiences. We work together to create and offer rituals and other non-traditional Sunday morning experiences.

We work with the board to create a safe sanctuary plan* and help educate the congregation about emergency evacuation plans and other emergency needs.
