The Futures Committee is an Ad hoc group that dream storms about our community’s place in the larger community and encourages into what comes next.
Imagine together our call and identity.
Discern what we need to sustain ourselves outside of worship.
Develop programs to both nourish ourselves and reach out into the community.
Help the church evolve based on who we are becoming and what our current needs are.

Futures Committee - More Formally Defined
Church Futures Committee is a dreamstorming team. It is typically formed by a congregation to help the church prayerfully and strategically discern its direction for the coming years. Its purpose is to ensure that the church remains faithful to its mission while also adapting to changing needs, challenges, and opportunities in its community and congregation.

Keep the congregation informed and engaged throughout the process.
Encourage buy-in and ownership of the vision by the whole church.
Implementation Support
While they may not carry out every action, they help set the foundation for leadership, ministry teams, and the congregation to implement the plan.
