Use/Rental Agreement

Actual Rental Agreement may be different at time of rental

  1. Use of the building must be agreed to by the Church Administrator or the Board of Trustees as outlined in the Building Use Policy and by the User.

  2. The Church Administrator must be notified of intended use by all  users both external and internal, so that appropriate entries can be made and posted in the church calendar regarding dates, times and room assignments.

  3. Each user will designate an individual to supervise the use as specified in the agreement. This designee will make sure that furniture is put back in place, lights turned off, doors are locked, food is removed from the premises, heaters and fans are unplugged, windows are closed and cleanup is complete.

  4. Contact information for this user will be recorded in the Use Agreement. The Church Administrator will be notified of a change of designee. 

  5. Arrangements for accessing the building will be made with the Church Administrator. If a key is provided, it must be returned at the conclusion of the event or term of use.

  6. Damage to the facility must be reported by phone (282-0062) or email (uucsb1827@gmail.com) to the church office, or to B&G at [phone #]

  7. The Board of Trustees will review the applications for building use when there is a request for waiver of fees or policy.

  8. The Board of Trustees will review all long term use agreements annually. The Church Administrator and the Building and Grounds committee may be consulted in this review.

  9. Termination of this agreement will be by notification of either party to the other. 

  10. Where applicable, a rental fee is established per the schedule below.

    Room Rental Hourly Fees

    Kitchen- $25

    Parish Hall- $45

    Green Room- $25

    Parlor- $30

    Sanctuary- $50

    Multi-room use- $300/day

    Members of the UUCSB may rent space for 50% of the established fee. For member weddings, funerals, memorial services and dedication, there is no rental fee. Members must, however, complete the Use/Rental Agreement. Donations are, of course, gratefully accepted.

    Officiants and musicians are not covered in the space rental fee. The Church Administrator has a list of officiants and contact information for an organist on request. 

    Upstairs rooms are not for rent.
